Blood nose in toddler. Should i be concerned?

DD has had her second blood nose in 5 days. Just out of the blue.

The blood is quite red and thick.

    Should i be concerned?

How long does it last for? My DH gets blood noses when he's hot, and he says its been happening as long as he can remember.

Unless she's complaining about a headache or nausea, I don't think it would be a problem - but if you're worried, its better to get it checked out

doesn't last long SG but i get scared and panic.

She can't explain things properly as yet since she's only 2.

    May be its nothing.

    Thanks SG

The nose has so many blood vessels inside it, it doesn't take much to make it bleed. Could she have picked it or tried putting something up there?

Now that you say that. DD does love picking her nose. Maybe that might be it?? I'll have to pay a bit more attention.
