Is it a terrible thing to give your LO a bottle in bed and let them feed themself and go back to sleep?

During the day and before bed, I am more than happy to feed DS myself- actually, he holds his bottle himself, but I sit with him.

But for the middle of the night, we have started trying to reduce and water down his feed and eventually it will only be warm water (so no teeth issues). Is it OK to just zip out of bed, warm up his bottle, give it to him in his cot to feed himself and snuggle back into bed? It would be soooo much easier! But of course, I don't want to do anything that would hurt him. He does have a pillow under his cot sheet, so he's not completely flat drinking.
