sounds like tonsilitis! or perhaps thrush?
Cooper has been off colour for a few weeks, and this morning when he was crying, I noticed that his throat was very red and swollen and there was even a few tiny little blisters. I only went to the doctor yesterday, and he checked his ears and said the canal was a little pink, but nothing that bad. But didn't even check his throat!
He was on antibiotics only about 1 month ago for a bad cough and cold, so would really like to avoid going back on them again.
Could anyone please recommend something to help him?

Mads, he is much better today thanks. I took him to the doctor and he said to go back on the antibiotics, even though it wasn't tonsillitis.
So on my way to the chemist, I popped in to see a naturopath, and she recommended that I not put him on the antibiotics, but to give him a natural powder (made from minerals, herbs and vitamins) called Metagenics Immune Care for Kids.
You have to mix it with water/juice and suprisingly Cooper drank it - he had been off his food and milk all afternoon, so I was really shocked.
Anyway, he was very happy all afternoon, and today he has slept longer than normal, and seems much happier. He still isn't eating much, but is back on the milk.
So I can definitely recommend this product - it is meant to help boost their immune system, and to lessen symptoms of the cold.
