what is better than a baby born?:p
any carrier than doesn't suspend bubs by the crotch...it is bad for their spine....lots of info on the web if you google it;)
look for a carrier that has baby sit frog-legged, with bum lower than baby's thighs:)
ime hugabubs were fantastic for little bubs, but once they hit 8kg or so, the stretchy nature of the fabric doesn't work as well as non-stretchy fabrics for a wrap:p
there are sites that show you how easy it is to make a no sew baby wrap...type that in google and im sure something will come up....the woven wrap is not stretchy and recmmended for older/heavier babies.
my other reecommendation is an ergo. you may be able to get a secondhand on ebay. they look more like a commercial carrier, but are much better!
