i'm not sure how long they are contagious, but since i've had my bubs a year ago, i've come to realise that if you stay at home due to every cough and cold, you'd never get out of the house!! they are sick so often....
i'd of course stay away for the worst first few days, but these coughs can linger and linger.... my bubs caught a cold off a friend's baby at easter, and is still coughing now, almost july
and i've heard that if they get exposed to lots of colds when they are at a young age, their immune system is strengthened and they dont get as much colds later on in life
my dr says the exact same thing.and i've heard that if they get exposed to lots of colds when they are at a young age, their immune system is strengthened and they dont get as much colds later on in life
I've heard that once cold or flu symptoms disappear, you don't really get over the cold for up to another 2 weeks.
I find the best thing is to reguarly clean all Nina's toys to rid of any germs.
Hi, my ds has aha da cold with a cough now for weeks, or probaly over a mnth. after reading Leeannes post seems like hes not the only one.. it doesnt seem to annoy him. just coughs now and again, and his nose runs like a tap somedays.
My DS got bronchiolitis (similar to cold/flu symptoms) early last week...we visited the doctor yesterday and she said he wasn't contagious any more although he's still coughing and has a 'snotty' nose... We haven't been around any other kids since he got sick and will leave it a few more days just to make sure but surely if his bronchiolitis isn't contagious any more then a plain cold would be similar or lesser in time to become non-contagious?!
