constipated or not? TMI warning

Milo is now fully fomraul fed, and has three solids meals a day.

Up until a week ago he had about 1 dirty nappy a day.

Lately he's having non for up to 2 days, and then up to 4 in 12 hours, and its like grown up poo.

Is this normal or should I get him checked out?

Its not hard like I'd expect if he was constipated, but its definately upsets him because he's like a new baby before and after.

It does sound like constipation. Maybe try adding a little extra water to his bottles. I used to add 10 extra mls and that seemed to right things. What formula are you using?

I did the same, some formula's can be harder for their tummy's to digest than others and I found adding some extra water to every bottle helped.

My Dr told me that it's only constipation if it's hard...

But yeah I agree with the others, it might be the formula.

He is on NAN Gold HA. He's still on the '1' as my paed. said there was no reason to change him to the '2'.

Its never been a probalem in the past though. Hmm.

I thought it was constipation, but my GP also said its only constipation if its hard. So maybe poor digestion?

I know 2 of my cousins have had problems with digestion, so I might take him to get the once over just in case.
