    Question daylight savings and bed times?

    Hi all;

    With dayligth savings only a couple of weeks away here, I was wondering how does everyone cope with their LOs sleeping habits?

    At the moment DD has started waking as early as 5am, and currently she is going down at 7pmish every night.
    What Im wondering is, do you/ should I change her bed times to later, as it gets lighter later? Do you/should I leave it the same as usual? Will changing her sleep times change her wake times?

    Thank you all in advance

    Maybe you could start sending her to bed 1/2 hour later and see what time she wakes up in the mornings. Keep in mind though that the mornings are getting lighter now, I know I'm finding that I'm waking earlier because it's lighter so maybe she could be as well.

    With Daylight Saving, I always just put my kids to bed at their normal bed time. We just go by the clock, not how tired they feel. We haven't had any problems with the time difference and their sleeping patterns since they were newborn really.

    When the clocks change, we just tell DS what time it is and that's it. I do let him have a bit longer in the bath when we lose an hour and have a slow bedtime, but he's still usually asleep by 8pm.

    Depends if your routine is triggered by the clock or by the child: we know that DS likes a clock-routine so we stick with that. It's just one evening when he may take an extra 5-10 minutes to go to sleep. No big deal really.
