DD suddenly not interested in baths

Has your little one ever been like this?
DD used to LOVE baths i couldn't get her out! Now she SCREAMS everytime she goes near the bath. She will stand up in the bath but won't sit down and holds/hugs me with a death grip.
I spend ages trying to encourage her to sit down. she has HEAPS of toys and we use coloured bubbles etc but she still screams.

    Any other suggestions??

Does she like showers?? Could be worth a try as I dont know what else might work. I would suggest hoping in there with her but probably be a bit hard being 30wks pregnant

Is your bath big enough to fit the both of you in. When my brother was scared of the bath my mum sat in with him. Otherwise you could try shower her, or get one of those hand held shower head thingys (sorry mind blank) attach it to the bath tap and shower her while she stands.

LOL funny you should say that. I did that the other night and had to call DH in to get DD out and help me out of the bath cause I couldn't get up

Shes becoming a bit the same with showers - screams until shes in there...holds on with a death grip until i put soap on the door so she can scrub things down.
At least the shower gets a little bit clean

YEP DS1 used to love baths, and 1 day hated it and was screaming and not wanting to be there. We had him in shower instead for a while but he started to get funny in there too.

Now he crawls to bath and stands there wanting to get in but when we put him in he stands up and crys, this seems to happen about every 6 months.

    It will pass good luck

omg- the exact same thin happend to me with my boy! i just didnt press just washed him and let him stand up in it with no water.
we ere founate it was hot so we would let him play in a clam pool ( which he had no problem with, go figure!) and i woudl run out wih the soap etc. This phase lasted about 3 months!!

then one day i jsut said " ok bath time" he siad yes and no probs since.

    HTH!!!

DD became petrified of having a bath OR a shower but only when on two consecutive days she did a poo in both of them.

Took me a week to figure out that the only way to get her in there was for DP and I to get in the shower and DP to wash me. She thought that was pretty funny and didn't want to be left out.

DD did a similar thing, and is now still scared of the bath if near the plug.

I put DS's bath seat over the plug and she is fine, but if she can see the plug when she is in the bath, there are tears, trying to get out and no reasoning.

She went through a phase also in the shower where we couldn't put her on the floor, had to hold her the whole time, so I am just assuming that she was scared of getting sucked down with the water.

Prob not much help, but it does seem to be as passing phase that most kids go through.
