We are going to the snow in a little under a month with DD who will be 11mo at the time.
I've bought her two sets of thermals from best & less. I got her a ski outfit from Aldi which seems super thick and as she doesn't fit into it properly i'll be able to tuck the feet up as they have a little flap part so it'll fully enclose her feet. The outfit has mittens also. I have her a beanie also.
DD will probably only come up to the actual snow fields once or twice during the week but i want to make sure she is definetley warm the entire time.
The place we are staying at has a fireplace so that'll keep things warm and I have nice warm flannellette PJ's for her to wear to bed along with her sleeping bags.
Any suggestions for numbers of layers both during the day & night?
Any other tips anyone can provide would be great...
Sounds like fun! I think long sleeve singlets are great and also skivvies for the cold. During the night with a fire it would prob be similar to any other heated indoor place in winter I would imagine. Here where it is say 2-9 degrees at night DD wears a long sleeve singlet, flanno pjs, two light woolen rugs and sheet. Sometimes if is going to be cold we set the timer on her heater. During the day I just layer clothes in the morning and remove as it gets warmer. As long as socks are on and beanies for outside combined with layers you can't go too wrong!
