DD has very definate opinions on many things and makes it clear exactly what she wants. I'm a little surprised by this as DS was much more go with the flow at that age.
An example - I bought her a pair of leggings - brown with a very grandma-ish floral print. She was with me when I bought them. I showed them to her & she reached out for them and wouldn't let go. I showed her another pair of stripey leggings (much prettier ones IMO lol!). She took them from me and threw them on the floor. So I went with it and bought them. Now she gets the brown floral leggings out of her basket and lifts her foot as if to say - I want to put them on Mummy. On the weekend, I asked her if I could change her out of her pajama's. She shook her head and tried to run away... until I held up the brown floral leggings. As soon as she saw them, she nodded and let me change her. There have been other things too, like her shoes and hairclips. I have one gorgeous hairclip that she refuses to wear
.
No real point to this thread. I just found it surprising and kind of comical. DS didn't really develop such definate opinions until a lot older, maybe 2 or bit older.
What has been your experience?

#2 is a hard case though, he wants what he wants, right now, and accepts no imitations!
Very determined! DS on the other hand is nearly 4 and most days we have to dress him, or DD does it for him and other than occasionally asking for a Thomas shirt or "tracksies" as he calls them, he doesn't care a whit about what we put him in!!!!
