    Sweating toddler??

    Hi,

Just wondering if I should be worried. My DD is 17 months and for the past few days has been sweating excessively - It has been humid, but she sweats much faster and before anyone else has started to sweat. I've taken her temp a few times but no fever!! Just not sure whats going on. She had a cold about 2 weeks ago and still has a bit of a cough??

My 2 year old is always getting sweaty fast, even if its not overly hot she still gets sweaty, mainly her head. I think DD1 was same at that age.

My DD is very similar. Ditto for her head.

My DD1 has always been sweaty. She's inherited her dad's sweat gene unfortunately lol. I just make sure I dress her in clothes that breathe and she only wears undies to bed otherwise she wakes up drenched. She sweats in the middle of winter! I'm not sure if this makes you feel better as it sounds like it's a new thing for your DD. My DD has literally sweated a lot since she was born. If you're worried maybe mention it to your GP. Make sure she drinks plenty of fluid. I wouldn't worry too much if she seems happy.

    Thanks girls,

I asked my GP about it this morning (but of course she wasn't sweating till after we left the doc!) she said it could be a hormonal problem and wants me to tell the paediatrician when we see him in a few weeks. So hoping its nothing serious - just a sweaty little girl!!
