    Question Ear Issues

I don't think that DD has any hearing problems because she responds well and has a good vocabulary. But just recently she has been complaining about loud noises hurting her ears, her left in particular. It's too the point that when we have the radio on in the car she keeps asking me to turn it down. Sometimes it's so low I can barely hear it, but if I turn it up she throws her head into her chair and crys for me to turn it down. At first I though maybe the speakers near her seat were louder, but after checking I found they were the same as the front speakers. Today we were in a cafe and she started complaining that the noise was too loud.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? Could there be an issue with her ears or does she just not like loud noise? She is not unwell so I'm not thinking there is an infection and I can't see anything wrong with her ears.

    TIA

I would go to your GP for a referral to a specialist. I think they are called audiologists. It could be that DD is sensitive to certain frequencies. Better to get it checked out.

Thanks Courtney, I never thought about it being a frequency issue.
