DD has picked up a bad habit.

Biting Fingernails..

I know she has probably copied from me. I am a shocker and have been most of my life.

But any suggestions on how to nip it in the bud with DD? Since I noticed her doing it last week, I have tried ever so hard to realise if I am doing it and stop, but I need advice on what I can to help DD stop it.

I am the same and DS started to copy me. I told him he shouldn't chew his nails and that I wanted to stop as well. I asked him to tell me to stop chewing mine if he sees me. We went through it several times when he was chewing his nails and now he doesn't at all. But he does tell me to 'please stop chewing your nails mum!'. I figure if he can't I can't either!
Other than that you can get that nail polish that tastes awful. It does work (I used it as a kid) but it also isn't very nice when you are eating sandwiches. LOL

ETA - But my teeth are pretty worn now from chewing so it is really important! More than I realised before.

That's what scares, me the yucky paint didn't work on me either

Krysalyss, how old was your DS when he comprehended to tell you if you were doing it too? I know DD understands, and I feel bad when I tell her to stop it, but just not sure if she would comprehend telling me 'no' yet.
