We ended up being admitted overnight to the paeds ward. The ER docs thought it was a bad double ear infection which is what the paeds diagnosed too. They said I did the right thing bringing him in seeing as the panadol and nurophen werent working to bring down his fever. After numerous rounds of antibiotics, pain meds and fluids through an IV we are home and he is looking a tad bit better but Im on alert to look for signs of change and if he nosedives again I have to go straight back as they can sometimes be wrong with diagnosis.

    Thanks for all the concern

OOOh I hope Jett is feeling better & styas better!

We spent a whole day in the hospital with Indah when she was about a 11mths old with a double ear infection & she was really ill...

They gave her icy pole electrolytes as she wouldnt let any of them touch her & we spent 6 hours in there waiting for her to pee.

It took a good few days for the antibiotics to really kick in...

Since then every time she's cut a tooth she's had an ear infection... But now we know the symtoms & take her straight to DR...

See they didnt think you were a dill!!!

I'm glad it all worked out and you got an answer for why he's been crook. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and he'll be on the mend and back to his normal self before you know it.

Much much better MG, thanks for asking! He is good about taking medication so that helps but so far no need for panadol or nurophen and he's been playing (aka being naughty) and drank the full amount of formula per feed.

Totally different kid than yesterday or Tuesday!
