Experiences of hospital Day Stay programs

    Hi all,

Mitchell hasn't been settling well of late (he's 6 weeks) and I've signed us up for a Day Stay program at Frances Perry Hospital. I figure rather than continue to battle on I may as well use all the resources that are available to me to help get us over this hump.

I'm wondering if anyone else has done them? Did it help at all?

I'd love to hear your experiences - good and bad.

    Cheers,
    Fiona

    Hi Fiona
I took DD when she was 6 months old for a day stay and they were very helpful and very accommodating to my needs and expectations. I am booked in for another one with DS who is 7 weeks old and not settling well (can't really expect a 7 week old to though!) but I just want some hands on settling techniques that doesn't involve CC or CIO. The 'hospital' I took DD to only does what the parents want so if you ask for no CC/CIO they wont. I would call your hospital and ask them what you can expect before you sign up for the day. I find that they work on the parents more than the baby! But I think they are an invaluable resource.

i went to one in korumburra and found it great.... its just good to get some advice and tips, and to know you are not alone... definitely no harm in giving it a go.
