First dress-up party!!! Aaahhhh!

We're having our mothers group 2nd birthday party this week and we thought it might be good to dress the kids up. Thing is it's on Wed so only 2 days to organise! I can sew - basic sewing! Any great ideas for easy or interesting dress-ups?

You could send her along as a lady bird - just use black leggings/pants/skirt, get a red tshirt/top, buy some cheap black fabric and some iron-on-interfacing (vliesofix or similar) and then you can cut out circles of fabric and iron them onto the top. Little black hat/cat then there's your ladybird!

Lots of cheap little fairy costumes/wings at $2 shops (and similar)

Overalls, checked shirt and borrow a big person's hat for a farmer...?

Another good one - get a dark silky night robe (eg in the ladies' nightie section at the op shop) and then make a cone shaped hat - stick on gold & silver stars, add a black stick for a wand and you have your very own little magician! The robe will be a bit long for the little ones so trails behind like a proper wizards robe.
