I am outraged with some parents. Today was my DD's first day of ballet/dance class. My DD is 2 and this class is 2/3 class. I called ahead of time and asked their expectations of the babies. They said the class was to have fun and dance around. Lets be honest here..2 year olds are EXTREMELY different from 3 year olds. 2 year olds do not speak very much and so their communication skills are lacking...hence tantrums etc. 3 year olds can communicate and listen better than 2 year olds. So needless to say, I was apprehensive.

So we arrive to class to discover my DD is the ONLY 2 year olds in class. The dance instructor is very young and obviously does not have children. She EXPECTS my 2 year olds to sit and stretch for 20 minutes. Her and the other parents are actually getting angry that she is running around and dancing..in a dance class.

I tpersonally think she is adorable.

The teacher then tells me I need to contain her and MAKE her sit down so that the kids can take turns dancing by themselves. I attempt to MAKE my DD sit and the rudest mothers daughter gets up to dance. DD bursts out of my hands and tries to dance with the girl. The little girl giggled and danced with her. the mother FLIPS out and explains her daughter deserves a turn by herself.

I pick up DD and leave....Im furious

I think people need to get their expectations in check...just saying
