I am flying to Sydney tmrw with Jake and am having a drama as to what to pack for him and to dress him in for the week we are away. (Currently we are both in trackies and tees - love Bne winters!) If it makes any difference we are staying near Lane Cove.
Depending when youre flying in.. its freezing in the mornings and once the sun starts to go down but nice during the middle of the day. So.. when we go out, i dress Jesse in long pants, a long sleeve shirt and a jumper.. then i usually take the jumper off, sometimes. But id probably do that and pack a tshirt in your hand luggage. Then you have all bases covered.
I'd agree.. I'm not too far from lane cove and today it is sunny, but not really overly warm but warm enough to be outside with maybe just a thin jumper i suppose. I just went out with Claire (3 months) and she was fine in a long sleeved bodysuit with a long sleeved spencer underneath. Its really cold in the mornings and evenings though so definately need warmer stuff for then.
I agree with the previous suggestions. We are also living not far from Lane Cove. Betwen about 10am and 3pm it is so warm at the moment that I have been just getting around in a 3/4 tshirt and jeans and my DS in a long sleeved t.shirt, singlet, long pants, socks and shoes. If you are in the sun but out of the wind it seems unseasonably warm at the moment. I head out with a zip up jumper and/or sleeveless fleecey vest in my bag for DS and a jumper/jacket for me in case we end up out of the sun and in the wind and more layering is needed. Also for some reason it seems much warmer outside in the middle of the day than inside. Must be the sun factor... So if you are going to spend lots of time indoors, perhaps your son will need to wear a spencer as well. No matter what you will definitely need warmer clothes (eg jumper/cardie) for early morning and late afternoon and overnight warm bedding/pj's/sleeping bag etc.
