I love it when they assert their independence and yell "NO!" at the top of their voice repeatedly until I give up trying to change the pooey nappy for a few minutes.
I love it when they decide that despite it being winter, a princess dress needs to be worn on its own, any attempts at further coverage to avoid frostbite are met with screaming and laying on the ground.
I love 2-3 year olds and the fact that they decide that they know what foods are best for them. Sure they can survive on vegemite sandwiches for a full week, don't bother trying to feed anything else.
I love 2-3 year olds who think that they can climb on top of bunk beds and scream if they are told its not allowed... than they sneak up there when mum is on the toilet only to scream "I WANT TO GET DOWN!!!" over and over again.
I love when they tell you to pull the bath plug only to change their mind after the water is going down the drain and then scream "X do it" at the top of their lungs in tanty form for the next 20 minutes
I love not being able to have five freaking minutes on the computer. I love not being able to go longer than half an hour without a toddler wanting to be picked up again and carried round. I love that everything has to be done while he's alseep to avoid major tanty meltdowns- like emptying the dishwasher, getting on the computer, having a shower, having two minutes of peace. I love having a clingy extension of myself that just will not give mummy five minutes peace!!!!
Thanks, I know ds is a little younger than what we're talking about, but I needed that
I love being called a biartch even though I dont resemble any part of a dog
I love being a told to shut up when I open my mouth or to sit down and behave when im being naughty by tuning out the echoing of a whingy 'me princess'
I love asking someone to take her toys to her room and having ' me help you mummy' to find a pile of dumped items from the whole house and 'me good boy my mummy'
I love finding love notes written with my eyeliner on the hallway walls and being told 'me wove you mummy'
I love how they think that you can't hear a request of their and so feel the need to repeat it over and over even though you may be holding the baby, trying to talk on the phone to their father who has rung and trying to complete one of their earlier rquests all at the same time.
I love a 2yo who's favourite phrases are "no" and "let me do it" - about everything!
Who refuses to let us help him put his seatbelt on, so we have to start getting into the car 15 minutes early every time so we are not late.
Who won't let me talk on the phone without screaming "let me talk".
Who has days where he refuses to get dressed. And often refuses to go the toilet screaming "I don't need to wee" until he wees in his pants and then says "need to do wee".
Who needs to go to the toilet for no 2s every time I am enjoying a meal. And wants me to go with him even though he doesn't need help.
Who tanties several times a day.
But who does say "thanks" all the time when you do things for him, and says the most beautiful "sorry" with a huge hug after he's calmed down from a tanty.
I love 3 year olds, everything about them really LOL.
I love that even though they have only bee around for 3 years, they believe they know muchmore than you do, about everything.
I love that they can switch between, "NO! I can do it myself Im a big boy" to "I need to sleep in mum and dads bed, Im just a little boy" in a matter of seconds.
I love the pretty pictures he made for me. Not so sure the Landlord will feel the love though. I am sure he will love the money we have to spend on the paint though.
I love trying to add an extra 18kgs to my pregnancy weight. Its so cute how he has to sit on top of the bump.
I love when they jump on my bed. Its even better when he falls off and hits his head on something. My favourite is when he falls over and lands on me.
I really love that my $1000 laptop is his favourite television set.
Its awesome when he tells me to "go away" and has a 5 minute fit because I tried to actually follow that order.
I really do love him though. So so much. My gorgeous little man. Wouldn't want him any other way.
