Entertaining 18mo in car

DD has her surgical review on Tuesday in Melbourne.
Because Melbourne is 500kms away, we've chosen to stay in Bendigo (3 hours) the night. We'll head to RCH for the 12 o'clock appt on Tuesday and then back up to Bendigo for the night.

Chances are that we may just decide to head straight home from Melbourne on Tuesday and bypass Bendigo.

Any ideas how to entertain DD in the car?

DVD player - play school , justine Clarke DVDs
Books
Pencils and paper
Tiny toys brought out gradually...
Snacks brought out gradually
Frequent stops to run around and play chase

We pack a bag that the kids can pick out toys from, books, puppets, doodle boards (the magnetic boards) and have the DVD player too.
