Just wondering - my little boy will be 11 weeks on Thursday. I think he is having a growth spurt because he normally goes to sleep ok, other than a bit of a cry and he has been howling when he normally wouldn't. He has also been feeding twice as much. Would this be right for this age?
Also, he has been wonderfully sleeping for 11 hours through the night the last week, but as much as that is fantastic, he has since discovered how to get out of his wrap!! Because of it, he wakes up and did so last night 4 times! I do the traditional wrapping and I really don't know any other way of wrapping. Has anyone got any advise on this??? PLEASE!
Hello, not sure about the growth spurt, you're probably the best judge of that. But with the wrapping, make sure you use a flat cot sheet, and fold the flaps down over his arms and then right around his body...much harder to get out of!

I wrapped Cooper as a newborn and then only did it for a few weeks. But for the last month I have started wrapping him again for day sleeps only. It really helps him to sleep longer than 1 hour. I too was doing the traditionally way of wrapping. But for the last couple of days he has been getting his arms out. So I devised a new technique. I will post pics and a rundown. Hope it helps.
Step 2
Take one side of wrap and put it over their arm but under their back. You can make it as tight as you like (so their arm is firmly straight against their body). http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h2/Fee78/DSCN4421.jpg
Thank you so much Fee!! You are just awesome to do those photos. I will definitely give that a go - I haven't tried that one and it make a lot of sense. I will let you know how I go after (hopefully) a good night sleep.
PS I love the name - Cooper is my son's name also!
Fee - just want to send a big to you, and thank you for those photos, as it really helped and now Cooper isn't getting out of his wrap! Now I am finally getting some longer sleeps at night
