Unhappy He scared the CRAP out of me!

I woke up an hour ago and couldn't hear Blake breathing! Got up and touched his cheek and his face felt cool and nearly had a heart attack - thought he had died! Picked him up (panicing and about to call dh) and his body was warm and he squirmed - thank god! he must have been in a really deep sleep. he is now awake and feeding hours earlier than usual - but i don't mind a bit! i will have to set up my angel care monitor - i had been saving it for the cot - but it will give some peace of mind!

It's awful to have scares like that isn't it. Really unsettling. Glad you felt him squirm and all is well. xo

I don't know how you survived this long without using your monitor lol. I'm glad he's ok. I had a few scares like that when ds was born, so i went out and bought the angel care monitor... still use it now... and he is almost 2

Scary stuff hun, I had the same thing happen when ds was about that age. Big

It's amazing how long those few seconds seem to stretch for isn't it?

Oh that awful your heart in your throat feeling!

Hun I dont think you would be a mother if you havent had at least one scare like that. My DH is terrible and used to play with the boys lips every half an hour or so to check they were breathing.
He still checks Scout all the time and he is almost 18mths and he also goes in to check on the other boys every night before he goes to bed.

I am getting an Angel Care moniter for our grapefruit this time so maybe he might be able to sit still for a bit longer than half an hour stretches.

Glad that he is okay! That would have been scary. I hope you are okay after that. I think I would have sat down and had a good cry.

how scary for you! glad he is ok! i worry too..if i wake up during the night i have to wait until i hear Hayley move or make a noise before i can get back to sleep. i'm always stroking her cheek or hands or give her a little poke sometimes, just to make sure she is still ok!

Yup, it was a bad night and a few tears shed. I am setting up the angelcare monitor tonight for some peace of mind. Thanks for all the support - BB gals are the best!
