head moulding

i was at the GP today, but forgot to ask her so thought i would ask you lovley ladies (and gents). at the back of DD2's head you can feel a large triangular shaped part of her skull.. hmmm its hard to explain in writing. it feels like a piece of her skull is slightly raised higher than the skull around it.. i am assuming its just moulding from when she was born. however, my question is.. how long does the moulding last? is it ok to still be there at 2 months or should it have gone by now?

ive felt something similar on DD too!! i'll check again later when she wakes but i assume its nothing to worry about!

i am pretty sure its nothing to worry about, my MCHN said that the skull dosen't finish forming (moulding like you said) while their brains are still growing and developing. so its prob a good thing.
not sure if that makes sense, but i'm sure its nothing to worry about.
