hmm...not sure. I don't go to public pools for this reason but I think I'm a bit over the top about that compared to most people, LOL.
ok last week ds had a nasty 'poo' virus, no vomitting or anything, just diarreaha (sp?) which he also spread to 3 other members of the family
tests came back negative for Giardia and anything bacterial so that is good.
Anyway, chances are he got it from the local poolHe loves going for a swim and that is the only place that has a shaded area to swim in.. we love the beach but its just too hot to be there all day iykwim
I am a bit reluctant to take him back to the pool, but what are the chances of him getting this again??? would you take your kids back??
I HATE the thought of public pools, BUT as I said, it is shaded and he loves it and its safer than the beach... what should I do??

Well they more than likely would have tested their pools and found out the chlorine etc was low and added more so it would be unlikely that it would happen again but you could call them and mention that you are pretty sure your DS got ill with the runs after swimming there just so they can put a notice up to remind parents to tell them if their kids poo in the pool so they can close it for cleaning etc
