HELP! High temp and a very fast beating heart

    Hi All,

DD's temp is 39.9. I just gave her some panadol.

Her heart seems to be beating mega fast too

what should i do? see if the panadol helps with the fever or go to the hospital?

    Thanks

has she been drinking today? she may be dehydrated which could be why her heart is racing, id either take her to the hopital or maybe ring and talk to youor gp
    how old is she

I'd be off to the hospital hun...

DD had that a few months ago, shallow rapid breathing, high temps over 39, off of her food etc - turned out it was RSV (respiratory problem) - and it spread to bronchiolitis...

Unless you can speak to your Dr urgently over the phone for advice re hospital or not...?

What is her heart rate? babies have a much faster heart rate than us, so it might not be racing as much as you think.....
Also when they have a temp their hearts tend to work a little harder. Why don't you give nurse on call a ring and have a chat to them about it...
