Car seat question - SnS meridian

    Hi

Just wondering if u can give me so advice on when to take the newborn insert out of my meridian ahr car seat? My little man is 4.5mnths and weighs 7.5kg and is 66.5cm long. I don't want to take the base cushion out too early but sometimes he looks a bit squished in there lol..

    Any advice would be great.

He's probably ok now hon, especially if he's squished. Can't remember when we removed DD1's from her Meridian but it would have been when she was too squishy. We recently removed the newborn insert from DD2's capsule as she was too squished.

Wow...DS is 6 months, 9.5kg and not sure on his length but I've still got his cushion in there. He still seems comfortable enough though, with plenty of room.

If you think he's squashed give it a go.
My 10kg'ish 13month still has his in, but all kids are different shapes and sizes.

They key is just to make sure wh e you take the insert out that the buckle still sits in the right place. if it is still sitting across the hip area and not the abdomen the it will be fine, if the buckle sits across the abdomen then Please put the insert back as that it what it is there for to stop the buckle riding too high which can cause internal organ crushing in an accident.

I was told you can leave it in until the seat is turned to forward facing

Yeh we've only just taken it out at 10mo for ds, and that's so we can keep him rf in this seat longer until his radian arrives.
