How to get him a haircut?

Charlie is a little terror, who honestly can't sit still for a minute. But his hair is now getting really long and curly and he's starting to look like he's got a bit of a mullet :P. DH and I both agree he soooo needs a haircut, but how to get it done? He won't sit still on my lap even!

Sushee, when Jack went for his first hair cut we had this problem. But the hairdresser was really clever. She had Jack stand in the window and watch the cars, trucks and buses going past (he loves anything with wheels). Then she just cut it while he stood there probably not the easiest hair cut she's ever done but hey, it worked a charm!

Also the other day we went past a hairdresser with a toy car in the window. Turns out it is for the kids to sit in while their hair is being cut (it's raised a bit). What a great idea but I wonder what they charge for the cut!

Definitely check out the little local barbers and salons. They have some lovely little tricks and the whole chair thing really does it for them.

I cannot believe Mitch sits still - but he does for the lovely little Italian barber around the corner.

Imran got his first haircut yesterday I miss his lovely curly locks.
I just sat him on my lap while the barber cut his hair. He moved around a bit but the barber just stopped cutting for a little while when he moved and then started again when he was still(ish).

We have the same problem = mullet growing and restless child..

Not sure what to do yet.. i was going to get my mum to cut his hair, but she won't know all the tricks like hairdressers do.

I'm so going to miss the curly hair look

We had the long mohawk happening right down the middle! LOL - it used to stand up.. but then it got all flat & daggy.

DH just got the clippers out one night and gave him a #3 all over He was very good! I know he'd flip out if a hairdresser came near him.. so thankfully now every few weeks or so we can just run the clippers over his head He did #2 all over last time.. but never again! I said he looked like a little orphan who'd been shaved for nits! LOL.

Sushee i brought some clippers and do Alex's i found this easier than taking him somewhere as when we did that he cried. I just stick him in his seat and strap him in. He's used to it now but will still move around.
