How high is your high chair?

I'm wanting to get a high chair that can be adjusted so that DS can see over our kitchen bench as I'd like him to be able to watch me when I'm preparing food etc. I have not looked at any high chairs yet and have no idea how high they can be adjusted so was wondering if the average high chair would be high enough for what I want it do do? I've heard of those little seat thingos that you can attach to the kitchen bench, does anyone have one of those, I'm not too keen on having DS hanging though so would rather just have him in the high chair if it goes high enough

i don't think they exists quite that high. i have however seen the ones they hang off the bench and they do look great, really sturdy.

We have the Cube highchair that I think is made by Childcare.

He can see over the top of the bench, but as it comes up to his chest he couldn't eat like that if that makes sense.

I guess it depends how high your bench is?

Our 2nd last place in Brisbane had quite low benches and DD could easily see over it sitting up in her high chair.

hmm I reckon most would allow him to see at bench height. Not sure how tall your benches are but we have a FP portable highchair that sits on a dining chair and DS has always been able to see up onto the bench. I'm certain that's not as high as the average adjustable highchair.

Do you have barstools? Friend of mine had the Fisher Price portable seat strapped to a barstool (proper chair with back type)

Umm I dunno - I have the IKEA one though and it can fit up next to the table with the tray off so the kid in it (which there isn't any at the moment) can eat at the table with us..

That sounds good Arimeh, would kinda like DS to be at the table with us when he starts solids, Ikea is a bit of a drive down to Brissy though
Snowy Love I hadn't thought of a portable one but a portable one could come in handy anyway. I don't have bar stools but would like them some day.

They do postage but you have to order $100 worth of stuff. The highchair is 34, worth every penny!
