    Longer sleeping tips needed

Miss Bianca is FINALLY having naps during the day - the only prob is she only has 2 naps one in the morning and one in the arvo and they are only 30mins long - not a second shorter or longer!
is there anything i can do to get her to sleep longer?
Maybe thats all she needs but i need her to sleep just that little bit longer so i can get stuff done! hehehe and have a HOT cuppa tea!

    Hey HJ,

Glad to hear she is sleeping more. I would suggest going in after she has been asleep for about 20-25 mins and resettle her to hopefully get her into a second sleep cycle. I'm still doing that every now and again, if I hear DS stir. Good luck!

I have found DD sleeps longer if I let her fall asleep in the cot instead of in the sling/pram/my arms.

I also find if you creep in before they wake up properly (so after 25mins) you can gently stroke/cuddle them back into a deeper sleep. It doesn't work every time, but it often leads them to drift into a much deeper sleep.

Thanks hippiemummy and anna - i do put her straight down into her cot for her nap and she puts herself to sleep - so today when i hear her stir or when its been 25mins i will try and resettle her or stroke her ( she likes that) and see if that works!
    Fingers crossed!
