    Red dry skin on forehead!

    Hi there,

The last few days my bub has developed red dry skin on her forehead. It looks sore and a bit crusty. Is this normal? Is it caused by something I am eating? (bub is bf).

It could be a few things... it could be as a result of cold dry weather? Aidyn always gets mild eczema in winter, which appears as dry/reddish/hardened skin. A good natural moisturiser or sorbolene should be able to help with this.

It could be diet related... There are many things within your diet that could be causing this. Is there anything you have started eating recently that you don't normally eat? There are others BF mums on BB who have tried elimination diets to see what the problem causing food could be, and dairy seems to be a common one. I will let them share their experiences though, as they know more than me!

Or could it be cradle cap? Aidyn's cradle cap used to appear on his forhead as well (around his eyebrows) and always looked crusty - though not red.

Maybe try sorbolene cream, I remember Ash used to get very dry skin, well she still does but not as bad. I'm always rubbing sorbolene into her skin.
What do you use to bath her with, some things can be very drying or iritating to their skin.
