At the start of December there was a week where Lucas rolled from his front to the back & I told him that was great, that was what I wanted him to learn first. Then he forgot how to. He started going back to front at Christmas, but now he rolls over and after a minute to 5 mins on his front he starts whinging. So I roll he back onto his back and he rolls to his front again and he whinges after a while. This continues until I'm sick of it and pick him up & carry him round.
I try to leave him for as long as possible in the hopes that he'll remember how to roll back, but I roll him or pick him up before he gets upset. I was thinking I wouldn't have to stay with him every second he was on the floor until he starts crawling, but obviously not.
Is there anything you can suggest to encourage him to remember how to get back onto his back?
ETA: He's also stared rolling onto his side during his day sleeps (he's wrapped with his arms free) - he can roll back from his side but still I worry with the not remembering how to roll to his back in case he rolls all the way
