    9 month old tantrums??

    Hi everyone
My DS in the last week has started throwing tantrums as in he will stamp his feet when being held or if he is on the floor he will lay down and start banging his head on the floor (luckily this has only been on carpet so far!) mostly when he's not allowed to have something he wants (ie the tv remote etc). I know they're supposed to object if you take somethingaway from them, but tantrums? I thought he was a bit young for that yet!
Has / did your 9 month old throw tantrums like this? Is it normal?
I'm a little worried DH and I joke around saying "the force is strong in this one!" however I worry if he's like this now what will he be like when he's older, or will it get easier as he learns to understand he can't have everything he wants?
Sorry if I'm rambling a bit here, I'm just a little stunned that tantrums could happen so early.
    Thanks in advance!
    xxx

My DD1 was a little like this but i soon learnt distraction was the key to taking something away from her so if she had the remote i'd give her something she was allowed to play with then gently take the remote iykwim. Its too hard to reason with them at this age so IMO distraction is the best way. HTH.

Yep I agree that distraction works best. It is quite common and he will pass this faze (and most likely re-enter it around 2years of age LOL).

So don't worry. He is very normal
