When is not walking/crawling a problem?

Milly will be one next week and is showing no signs of crawling or walking anytime soon.
she doesnt pull herself up on furniture and cant sit up from laying down but can sit un aided.
Everyone keeps saying she will do it in her own time but I cant help feeling a little worried.
At what age if any is it considered ok to worry about them not doing anything?

I'd probably be a bit worried if she isn't crawling by now, I think. Not so much walking. Have you spoken to your chn or GP?

I have no idea really, but I would be asking questions of someone if she isn't crawling or attempting to stand yet.
The walking, meh, wouldn't worry me at 12 months.

Noah didnt crawl til just over 12 months... and walked at 18 months... (he was sitting from 6 mnths). I did spk to the dr about it to e sure he was ok (which he was). i dont think it is anything too dramatic just from that and she will prob do it in her own time but they would look for other things too... (muscle strength, otgher developmental milestones, reflexes etc). If it were me (which it was LOL) i would go spk to the GP just for your peace of mind. i am sure she will be fine though...

My DD is just only started to walk..she is 14mths. I have a GF who's DD didn't walk or crawl at 16mths, never crawled, just got up one day and walked (a Milly too!) and is just fine, probably one of the smartest in her grade.
If you are worried, have her checked out. The not sitting up from laying down could be a muscle thing, perhaps a physio?

Lady P is 10 months on Wednesday and is only just starting to look like she is going to crawl.
She has been sitting unaided for months but she doesnt roll. She has always hated tummy time with a passion so I guess thats why she has never shown any interest in crawling.
She has been in a walker for the last month and I think this has helped her want to move and explore.
My boys were all early walkers with the last two crawling at five months and walking confidently by 9 months.

I 2nd the ask if your concerned but otherwise I wouldnt be too concerned just yet if everything else seems ok.

DD1 here crawled at 15 months and walked 2 days later - she was a pudding and I think it was a wee bit harder to pull herself around - plus she had our undivided attention so prolly had no need! xx

DD was sitting unaided at 5 months, but didn't sit herself up until closer to 1. She didn't crawl or pull herself up on furniture at all, at 13 months she started walking and within a couple of days she could stand from the ground so never needed to pull herself up.

I think weight bearing is more important than actual walking for potential problems. Will she stand up if you are holding her hands?

I am sure she is just fine and will do it when she is ready xx

Try not to worry about it - which I know is hard when you are lugging around a heavy immobile child all day!

My DS did not start crawling till he was 15 months old, and only started walking a month ago at 18 months.
He did however bum shuffle from around 14 months.
Each baby is different and and am sure in time your DD will take off and you won't know what hit you

DS1 rolled everywhere for ages then started commando crawling around 11 months and proper crawling 13 or 14 months and didnt walk till 21 months!!! He would occasionally pull self up from 13 months old but not regular until 19 months!!

DS2 bum shuffles everywhere has done since 10 months and occasionally trys to pull self up but if I hold his hands he is not interested in trying to walk!

If you are worried speak to a DR or MCHN.

Does she move at all in her way?

ETA DS2 can only get himself to a sit if on our bed, on floor he can't. He has sat unaided from 6 months.
