Willow - you can still complain mate - we're all tired!! LOL.... as for it being habitual.. I do worry about that....
Bec - haha that would be nice, but I wouldn't be good company then (hmm not to say I am when I am awake, but at least I talk a little!)
Gaia is good or just organic cold pressed sesame oil...she will smell like a little bird after though :) hehe! And just slow gentle strokes are good...maybe look up Pinkys site she has a good dvd :)
Good luck hun  xxxx
I know babe, I wasn't suggesting it was a long term solution, just an emergency measure for 1 or 2 days before you keel over!:
Pix - I dunno if I want to go down the road of drugging her ya know? I sorta feel that she has a problem, something wrong with her, and I just wanna find out what it is, and worried that drugging her would just be masking a problem.
Is she just learning to walk? Maybe that's why she's a bit antsy at night
The only other thing I can suggest is an amber teething necklace, if she is bothered by teeth. It seems to have helped DS quite a bit
Hugs babe.. I have no advice but wanted to give you some big squishy hugs!!
Kate xox
 Mel,
It's not a long-term solution, but seriously - just give me a call/text, etc if you want to me to take your two for a while so you can have a break and a nap!
I think we need to call Pinky McKay for this one! Does she do house calls? Lol
 Mel I really feel for you. It does sound like there's something going on though, maybe a visit to the gp would be an idea?
Hang in there hun, you are doing a great job and youre a fab mummy xo
Just a suggestion- could she be getting too much sleep during the day so she is not so tired at night? Could you try reducing the day sleep to see if it makes any diff?
Katie - I dunno, I don't think its unreasonable for a 14 month old to be sleeping for 2 hours during the day? Especially after having a rough night. I know some babies are still having two naps a day of 1.5 hours each, so she's having less than them - and even if you add into the mix that she is having 2 hours during the day - she only has about 6 hours overnight all up - which isn't very much for a toddler I don't think? I'm not sure how much sleep they are supposed to be having at this age, but I'm sure it would be more than 8 hours a day. Although I would give ANYTHING to have 8 hours sleep a day!
SS - thanks honey, but the day I've had today - I'm a crap mum when I'm this tired.
Sterla - thanks babe but I know you are just as tired as me!!!! But at least i have someone to whinge to ;)
Hope you have a better night tonight hun, hope some of the suggestions you were given by people does the trick. Lots of sleep vibes going your way. hugs
At M's age, my DD was still having two 2 hr naps during the day. She only dropped the first nap a month or so later. My DD is 3.5 and still has one 2 hr nap each day she's home. So I don't think she's getting too much sleep during the day either.
 I hope this passes for you soon, hun. I'm surprised you sound so coherent in your posts! And you even remember punctuation!
Oh honey, all I have are  for you. Kelts, darling, you NEED to sleep at night for your mummy and daddy!!!
Well hun heres some more :hug::hug: and a :grouphug: thrown in the mix. I really cant even relate to how this must be for you to go through this every night, as none of mine was like this, except for when they were sick. I have been trying to think of what I did/do different with mine so I could help, but your already doing it. I do however standby the bath before bed, as well as a comforting massage, and then the nice warm milk, maybe even with some malt mixed into it (but make sure it is ok for toddlers first). Sometimes when a little one is overtired it is difficult to get them to sleep properly as well. I like the sound of the relaxing music too.
Goodluck once again.
Ohh and I dont think your little one is sleeping too much through the day, Little V still has a few naps through the day. I was just thinking, some little ones can get over stimulated before bed, like playtime before sleep might make them not want to sleep, I am not saying that is whats happening, but could be something else to think about.
i guess you probably walked this path, but i would get to your GP and see what they reckon. check her ears etc. we had this happen to DD for a couple of weeks with us tearing our hair out and turned out she had an ear infection (despite the fact that she didnt even have a cold or a temp).
i think the 2 hours sleep during the day is fine. my DD has just gone 2 and still has the big day sleep. sleep brings sleep is the old adage (well, that's what i am trying to convince myself LOL!).
otherwise, yeah, the brauers calm can be a good one...we used this when DD went psycho on the plane to italy the other week...good for mummas too ;)
I only suggested the day sleep may be too much for her as my DD went to one hour sleeps during the day at 12 months and still at nearly two only has 45 mins to 1.5 hrs max. When she sleeps too much during the day she doesn't go down for ages at night.
