    Question Kindergym

I'm looking for a kindergym. Not a playcentre gym, but one like gymnastics but for littlies.

DS has a lot of energy to burn and he's way to young for Little A's and I don't know of any other "sport" he could "play" Also, he needs social interaction coz he only sees family and his 2 babysitters. He has no friends his age (or around his age). (also, and this is a bit selfish, I would like some social interaction!)

I live in Redland Bay in QLD and don't know of anywhere that does it. Do you? Or do you know of some other sort of activity he could do? I thought about swimming, too..

    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your time!

Do you mean something like gymberoo??? Google that and see if that is something that you are looking for. I will try and think of some others as I know there are a few out there.

DD1 loves gymbaroo, we've been going since she was crawling. They have a website look them up and it'll tell you areas and contact numbers.

They're not in QLD!! I did just find a website to a gymnastics club near me that does "tiny tumblers", sounds like what I'm after!

But, until I hear from them (and remember, it's a saturday night on a long weekend), I'm open to other suggestions!

Gym club is a good bet. I'm not in QLD, so I'm no good for sourcing a place.
Re: the merits of a gym club:
I chose Kindergym over Gymbaroo because the closest Gymbaroo was a portable one, so no foam pits, it was more expensive and did about the same things that Kindergym does. And there's a Kindergym close by.
I think we've hit that in between stage - DS wants to do his own thing because he's not interested in songs and some of the circuits aren't very challenging for him...he wants to hang, swing, jump, dive and climb (v high!), not crawl on foam shapes, dance, march, follow the leader. Have been thinking of defecting to KinderDive for a while...

Found it.... Gymboree is the one I was thinking. I took Oskar for a free session but decided against it. He was only about 15 months and it was very structured which at the time didn't suit. It would be ok now but it's just too much to deal with with a baby as well atm..lol. If you can't find website, pm me and I'll let you know.

May be worth trying local community centres as well often councils have cheaper and just as good programs too.
    Good luck!

I just took Jordan to his first Kindergym class today. Down here in NSW it is run by the local gymnastics club, so perhaps contact any normal gymnastics clubs and see if they run kindergym. It is similar to gymbaroo, he absolutely loved it (he is 15 months)

PS I preferred Kindergym to Gymbaroo - a bit less structured and about half the price ($6 per class)
