Unhappy Lamenting a farewell to nap time

I swear, if someone told me to lay down, have a little rest and maybe a bit of sleep, there would be tears of gratitude, a little "yippee!", and a cloud of dust leading from whee you'd just seen me to my bed (think roadrunner).
Then again, I'm not 3 1/2 with a world to conquer

I too have a 2yr old who has been trying to kick them for the past couple months...unlucky for him he has a rather stubborn mother!!! he,he. Basically if he wakes early we get a good nap, if not we just get an hour in his room tossing stuff around LOL.
I hope we are still going at 3!!! but don't like my chances. Though I will admitt it makes for a nice early bed time at night.

Yeah I am hearing ya too, as I listen to my almost 3yo DD shouting at me from her bedroom because she is soooooooooo over tired but refusing to nap. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I am not prepared to say it is over yet, so everyday she has to go into her room for a 'rest' I think it is more for me than her though!

You did well to get to 3.5! my DS started refusing day naps from 2 years

Its hard though, i've implemented "quiet time" because i need at least an hour of down time or i go nuts.

Our youngest turned 3 in april and the no nap thing has been going on from about 2.5, its driving me insane!

she needs a nap but not every day, so because theres no routine she ends up crashing out at all hours and it completely screws her sleeping, shes also the biggest moodiest drama queen I've ever seen

I have no idea what to do, i just know i'm about to pull my hair out

I have been consistently putting her in her room so that even if she wasn't sleeping she would play and potter and chatter, but her tolerance even for that is rapidly diminishing so I only got 45 mins alone (better than most, but still) and with jordy trying to nap in the next room I couldn't leave her to carry on much longer. She knows it too, so it's like being held to ransom by a tot - *sigh*
