Question Which teething necklace to get?

Hi, what is the best teething necklace to get?

Where did you get yours & has it helped?

What is the average price for a good quality one?

    TIA

I got mine online from amberbebe, and paid $40 plus postage. It has a screw clasp (some have magnetic), and is certified Baltic amber. Amber from the Baltic region is the best amber to use for teething, as it has the highest concentration of succinic acid, which is the compound in amber that has pain relieving properties.

I have a terrible teether, (who literally teethed for four months before his first tooth even came through, we've been working on the molars now for just over two months and they're still not through yet). Prior to getting the necklace he was waking two to four times a night with nurafen and teething gel, after getting the necklace he slept through for three weeks straight (we don't keep it on him at night though, he likes to chew it), and we had no need for any pain relief for about six weeks. He then started waking again at night and for the last week we've needed to give him panadol or nurafen before bed again, and occasionally give him teething gel during the day if he is unable to get to sleep.

So I think it has helped. It is possible that the arrival of the necklace coincided with an abating of the pain he gets from the teeth moving around under the gums, but it seems too coincidental that he went from waking several times a night to sleeping through on the day that he started wearing it. I've also noticed that he seems most affected by teething pain first thing in the morning, which subsides once he'd had the necklace on for a few hours. My sceptical DP has suggested that we see if it works by leaving it off for a few days, but I've told him that he can get up to DS if he wakes which leaves him rather reluctant to test his theory.

I got mine from Inspired By Finn, and I love it! It is from the USA, it is also Baltic Amber and they are great quality, screw clasp, each chip or stone is tied on individually so if it happens to break they wont all go everywhere.
I paid $37 AUD for 2 (one small and one med) and that included postage. Fast post too!!

I highly reccomend this site, by far the cheapest for excellent quality!
