    Maxi Rider Car Seat

Can someone tell me the weight range of the Maxi Rider car seat? and do you think this is the best safest seat for the long term? I.e i heard that they can stay in it until quite old.

Also where can i buy it? i've tried a baby shop and also kmart/target. Can't find it.

    Weight range is 8-26kgs....
My 4 year old daughter has one, and we just purchased my nearly 2 year old daughter one on the weekend.
Safest because unlike other booster seats, maxi riders have a teather strap tnhat attaches to tha anchor point in your car....
Never seen them in the big dept stores. I dont think im allowed to tell you where i got mine (BB rules ??) but try googling MAXI RIDER...that should point you in the right direction.

Thanks for that! i tried googling but there aren't many baby stores where i live, but i think i have found one which has them.

So is it fine to put this maxi seat to the right of the other baby seat which is positioned in the middle? so it would be behind the passenger side as thats where our 2 anchor points are?

If the middle is taken up, then yes, to your right (behind passenger) would be the next (safest) option.

Charlie is in a maxi rider now, and I got it from Baby on a Budget. Charlie loves it, I love the cup holders and the fact that it anchors like convertible car seat and not like a booster, and he will be able to stay in it for a long time.

I don't know if you have one where you are MummaB, but there's a shop (Baby Bunting I think?) at Mandurah that usually has a great range of baby stuff.

Yep theres a BOB down the road walking distance actually, at first i didn't think they stocked them because i went on the weekend and couldn't see them but didn't ask so i will go back there.

Does anyone know if they ever go on sale? DH is wanting to hold off because of the price but those shops don't generally have sales i don't think.

I have never seen maxi riders on sale here in WA, and I was looking out for a couple of months before finally buying one.

I've seen them on sale at stocktake/tax time.
We bought ours on sale but would have paid full price for it if we hadn't been buying at that time of year anyway.

Jetts in one, we bought it after Rips was born. Theyre fabulous seats, I love it and he loves it. Very easy for him to get comfy in, tilts back a bit if your on long car trips and they want to sleep, he can get himself in and out of it, anchors like a normal carseat so its much safer than unachorable boosters, cup holders are a brill idea! Jetts a big boy so the reversible he was in was way to small. Ripley will go in a S&S Maxi Rider when he is old enough.
Worth paying the full price for.

They generally retail for $359 - we bought ours from baby kingdom with 15% off all car seats (in store only) - thats a saving of $60......
