    Milk

DS is 20 months old and has a bottle of milk for bed time. He currently has full cream milk. Is it ok if i gave him lite milk (not skim)? It's just we all have lite except him and its getting expensive buying 2 different milks.

I think it says on the bottles for not under 2?? We buy 2 different types in this house too so I know where you are coming from!!

My understanding is that kids need the full fat in the milk. I personally wouldn't give my toddler lite milk (I don't drink it either tho hehe).

I've also read that skim milk is better than lite, because it's literally 'skimmed', whereas lite milk is put through various processes. The less processed the better IMO.

Full cream milk is definitely the best thing for under 2s. Personally I still give my 3yo DS full cream too. We all drink full cream, but even if I drank low fat I would give him full cream, as he has no weight issues so I believe it's better for him (less processed). If he was overweight it might be different, but he's not.
