Mini Pill and the resltess bub

DD has had a pretty regular routing for just over a month now - bath at 8pm, in bed for a feed and cuddle by 8:30pm, I'm able to crawl out (we co-sleep) by 9pm. Sometimes she stirred after half hour, sometimes not. Then she'd be asleep till 4:00 - 4:30am when she'd want another feed, then fine till around 9am when we got up.

About 2 weeks ago she picked up a midnight feed, and moved her 4am feed forward to 3am, then picked up a 6am feed too. So basically every 3 hours - 9, 12, 3am, 6am. She also started wriggling, squirming and kicking from about 3am onwards. Like she couldn't get back into that proper sleep phase.

And now, the past 3 nights she has also been fighting the 9pm bedtime. She just won't stay asleep, once she realises she's drifting off she starts fighting it.

I've been trying to figure out what it might be. Too long a period for a growth spurt. My diet has gotten healthier in the past month, so not the junk food - chicken twisties sends her hypo! Then it hit me last night, this has been going on for about as long as I have been taking the mini pill. I started about 2 and a half weeks ago.

Is it the cause? I take it around 8pm every night.

    Hey Haydies

I tried the mini pill but when DD was 8 weeks old and I got a very fussy baby. I used to take it in the morning and the feeds during the day were horrible, she never wanted much so we were feeding more often than normal. I only lasted on the mini pill for 2 weeks the most because it was so frustrating for me. Once we were off the mini pill, things settled down after about a week.

So maybe the mini pill is the cause? I have heard that it can change the taste of breast milk too.
