I wouldn't be using anything. Maybe breast milk. Or a cold pressed organic oil like sesame or coconut.
What product are you using at the moment to moisturise bubs skin? DD2 is very dry and flakey.

are you using soap or anything? ideally nothing, or oils as boomba suggested.
No soap here... just water. Nothing else has touched her skin.
Beautiful! They do get a bit dry don't they. Xx
DS was terrible. Really really REALLY terrible. I got told to rub the QV bath oil on his skin and then bath him. Cleared it up in 2 days. It was amazing. He was at the point where his skin was starting to crack on his feet and wrists.
Since then I don't use anything, maybe some QV if he's looking a bit dry.
Is baby oil OK?
it's often petroleum-based, so I wouldn't use it, no. up to you what you're happy with, though, obviously. If you feel you need something, Id' stick with simplest things like the veg oils - cold pressed are best from allergy perspective, also, I think.
I wouldn't use baby oil. Olive oil is amazing for babies skin, it's natural too. Rub a few drops into the skin, and even a few drops in the bath...my midwife have me a great tip, DD's skin was very flaky and peely too for a while. Mix a few drops of olive oil with some milk and add that to the bath. Beautiful![]()
ThanksI'll try some olive oil tonight.
I have coconut oil here if you want some of that![]()
