When to move phil & ted toddler seat?

Hi ladies. I've been trying to work out when it is ok to move the toddler seat from on top of the pram to behind? How do I know when it's safe to put DS in the toddler seat. He is 3 months old but he is a really big boy and isn't very quickly running out of room laying underneath the toddler seat.

I waited until E was 6mths before changing it over, but she was smallish, and anyway - she spent more time in a sling till then! She hated lying down lol

I moved DD2 when she had good head control & she was wanting to sit up more etc...
She was around 4 months

Guess i should add that i have the Vibe model & it seems to be more reclined than the other models.

I put my youngest up at 5 months - he had wanted to get out of the cave underneath for a while. I was glad once I did - he was so much happier. I did however leave him in the reclined position (E3 seat doesn't have this, only sport and more recent models) with one of those neck stabiliser things (?) around his head for quite a while.

Also my toddler would not let me use the sunshade over his head when the seat was on top for him so that was another reason I prefer it as two seats.
