My moosh has her second cold (I kid you NOT! Her first was in April) so she has no idea why her nose keeps running into her mouth (we've reached a whole new level of grossness with that ROFL!). I'm tryiung to teach her to blow when I hold the tissue up but everytime I bring it to her nose she open her mouth to eat the tissue so gross!
Oh, and yes before you all suggest it, I'm now using a cloth wipe instead of a tissue
Oh, and any ideas on how to teach her to blow when I hold the tissue/wipe up?
we taught MJ by doing the same with her... so blowing your nose first... it was funny to start with as when we said blwo she would blow through her mouth, but she got it in the end!
Whe she doesnt have a cold, get her to blow things along a table or blow bubbles under water with her nose..
Ha ha, thats so cute...and a bit gross DD is hopeless with that too, she gets that its for blowing her nose, but instead of actually blowing through her nose when i put the tissure there she just makes a kinds blowing 'raspberry' noise like she blowing out candles. Its pretty funny, but doesnt solve her snot issues!!
Hope she is better soon.
I have read that a child is not developmentally able to actually blow their nose until around 4. My 3,5 yr old is only starting to get it right but doesn't get much out.
i cant even put the tissue near DS's nose and dont get me started on the snot sucker its worse i hope it gets better before he gets really snotty one day
