    Need Help/Advices..

My baby is now 2 months old. Well, I just curious about how many oz per day should baby drinks? Sometime I noticed that my baby did not drink as much as other baby. Is this normal? I begin to give my baby a formulated milk powder already and stopped giving him breast milk as I frequently come back late from work. Right now, I gave him Anmum Infacare from 0-6 months. According to the information stated, baby which is 1-2 months should drink 4 oz per servings-6-7 times per day. While I think my baby only drink not as much as it should. I kindda worried if he will gets hungry and did not get enough nutritions and all the vitamins. Is this because of the formula milk? During night, he only got up twice and drink not more than 3 oz. Is this normal or do my baby got some problem here? What should I do? really need your opinions and advices. Thank you..

    Hi there,

it really does vary form one baby to the next how much they will drink.
My son only had formula from the time he was 6 months old, so its hard for me to say how much your son should be having, but I still had just as much worry at the same age as to whether he was getting enough breastmilk. At one point I was getting him weight every fortnight.

Please remember that what the formula can says is only a guide. (I mean this in regards to how many bottles they should have, not the instructions to make up the formula - follow the instructions to the letter) Some babies will drink more or less than that.

As long has he is gaining weight, having enough wet nappies, seems a healthy happy baby he should be getting enough.

How many ounces do you think he has all up in a day, on average? Maybe record it in a notepad for a few days cos he will probably vary from one day to the next. If you are still worried maybe talk to a nurse or a doctor about it?
