New Olympic Event - dressing a 4mth old!

Ok, so this is not a serious thread, but who agrees that dressing their child should be a new olympic event.

My little darling is soooo hard to dress and he's only 4 months old!

First he tries to bend himself in half backwards so he can look at the wall (there's nothing there!?). Then he holds on to whatever it is i am trying to remove - singlet, growsuit, sock, whatever. Then he 'helps' with the nappy - grabbing it and holding on to it. Then he'll grab a toy and hold it with whatever hand it is that i am trying to put in the sleeve. Then I swear he swaps the toy into the the other hand - just as i go to put that in the sleeve! He knows!!

I'm not complaining, it's quite funny really - but it does make quick changes a thing of the past! Bring on summer so that i don't have to put so many layers on him. Does it get easier as they get older...or harder??

Harder They move more, they turn over, they are stronger, they create more havoc and (if you aren't REALLY careful) you can end up with poo everywhere!!!!! Although they can also *help* by putting their arms through sleeves and trying to pull up pants. Very cute

In our case it got worse!! I want someone to make nappies that can be done up at the back, cause my DD will not stay still long enough to change. Oh and add crawling into the mix.. But I do get a good laugh most of the time.

Sorry - it gets harder! At 2.5 we can have a complete meltdown if she doesn't get to wear what she wants and she is now able to undress herself if she really disagrees with the choice of clothing. She can be helpful if she feels like it but can also be equally unhelpful

Yep I agree it only gets harder. Dealing with tanties and a toddler who just won't put up their arms or open her legs to get a nappy on...and they can run if they get the chance!

Yeah, add Squirmy Nappy Change to the list - extra points for wee over mums shoulder and poo hitting the wall.......

Wait til they get to the age where they don't want to wear clothes at all!
Or if you thought crawling was bad try to catch a runner when you have to get up first! It's not easy.
By the time your off the floor they are outside showing the world what they are made of!
