i think the brake and teether strap is a great idea, i will be buying a strap for my old pram. I found with my DD and DS that my pram would roll down any slight incline. This could be a pram ramp in the street, you know the road crossings, or an uneven carpark.
I would rather wear a tether strap then go through what the two families had to here in Adelaide at the Torrens.
Ya know............ I was absolutely horrified when these incidences happened in Adelaide and the Torrens.....my heart hurt (and still does) for these families and their little bubbies.
I'm not sure that a red brake would have changed this though. Accidents are accidents..... they happen for strange reasons.
I suppose any measure is worth a try. Although I always put the brake on Daniel's pram - mostly because I'm a paranoid mother. My brake isn't red, it's just matter of remembering to put it on.
Do any of you think the red brake is going to make it more likely that you'll put it on? The tether will be hard to forget, but there may be parents out there that probably won't tie it to their wrists, mostly because it will be a pain in the proverbial. It may end up being like a Stackhat without the straps done up. It's a matter of remembering that too.
