Newborn presents

We've been asked what we'd like present wise for the baby once he or she is born, but we can't see anything we'd like at the moment. Can anyone suggest any really brilliant ideas?

Well Idunno about brilliant, but I know with my first I forget to get a rug/mat to put them on the floor on during the day for playtimes etc (not a play gym, just a mat).

Do you have a baby book to record first five years already?

I woul like something practical but not sure theres anyting that we really need as we were passed down heaps of stuff.

We havent got a baby record book yet - I've been checking them out but can't decide which one I want most! Thats the only thing so far on our list!
