Question Newborn throwing up once a day..

Just curious if anyone has any ideas of what this could be..

DD2 has been throwing up once a day, sometimes every second day, usually about the amount or a bit less she has each bottle.. so quite alot. She is formula fed, however was also doing this while i was both FF and BF at the same time. It is usually when she is burped or just sat up, before we start burping her. It doesnt seem to bother her too much, more just the discomfort of it coming out of her nose! DD1 had reflux so im familiar with that, but im not sure thats what it is as its its only happening once a day and she doesnt get red around her eyes like DD1 did. When she is burped during other feeds the majority of the time she doesnt bring up anything, if she does its about the size of a thumb nail, so not much at all. She is a very content baby.. does have some grizzly times but is pretty easily settled.

I weighed her today and she is putting on weight fine. She has plenty of wet nappies each day (she hates sitting in a wet nappy so we're made aware each time she does a wee) and does a poo usually each day, sometimes every second day, and they are quite runny.. which after googling found thats normal.

Would anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Is it just shes a every now and then puker? or could it be something else like reflux?

    TIA!

My DS did this. My CHN called him a happy spewer. It never bothered him, and apparently it has something to do with that food flap down their throats (so technical) not being quite strong enough to hold things down when they're super full, so it kinda overflows.
Also you would be surprised how much she really is spewing up. If you spill a cup of water over your couch, floor (or even you and her) it looks like a massive amount compared to how much it was in the cup, if that makes sense...

Dd1 was a happy chucker, but hers were power spews. Ds is a happy chucker too, small ones like you describe but he does has reflux.

It's possibly just spillage. There were times post reflux medication Pixie would suffer a case of eyes bigger than tummy and have a little too much bottle. If it doesn't burn your skin on contact, doesn't smell like acid and she has good gains, wet/poo nappies then I wouldn't be too worried. It's just a tad smelly and inconvenient i guess lol.

My DD throws up alot, almost guaranteed at least 1 chuck every couple of hours! Doesn't bother her tho, just creates a whole lotta washing for me! (she's actually started smiling after a power chuck, cheeky turd!) like the others said, if the weight and nappies are good I wouldn't stress
