No #2's in 2 days for 3yr old.....this isnt normal is it?

Whilst we have been at the last end of our bathroom renos, and were without a toilet on Friday night and all day saturday...(good old fashioned bucket was put to use unfortuantley ) My DD#1 has not done a poo in 2 days.
.....Fri morning was her last one, and now its Sunday lunchtime. Toilet is working now, has been since last night. She says she needs to do a 'poo poo' but after a few mins jumps off and says its not coming....
Is this related to her diet???

I'd bet more related to not having the toilet for a couple of days
She sounds like she's talked herself into not going so she didn't have to use the bucket and now she's having a bit of trouble since the loo is up and running again.
Funny things go on in their little heads at this age about toileting LOL.
She'll probably go by tomorrow. FWIW my two year old sometimes goes two days without a poo - then she'll do a total doozy to make up for it!

I agree with Flea, I reckon it is because she didn't like the idea of doing it in a bucket. My DS was the same with TT in a way because he just couldn't go on someone else's toilet for #2's and he would just hold it in, which gave him belly aches. Give her loads of fruit and water to soften it a bit (cause no doubt it will be a big one) and sit her on there and read a book or sing songs just to keep her on there long enough to relax and do one. I think she will be right once she gets the first one over and done with.

Yeah, I agree with Flea. Chances are the bucket has "put her off" and now her usual poos are a bit impacted IYKWIM........a simialr thing happened with Olivia (age 3 also) when we moved house.......the new loo seemed to put her off for some reason.

After 4 days it all came out: HUGE poo..........No issues after that at all

My advice would be to make sure she is getting lots and lots of water, don't make a big deal of it, and hope it all comes unstuck soon.........

This arvo we did it !! Well she did it .....she complained again of a sore tummy, and i explained to her that maybe if she sits on toilet and waits for poo to happen tummy will get better. I told her i will wait outside on the floor (things mum do).....it worked. I think a new toilet and all, it was a bit overwhelming for her.....thanks ladies.

Good to hear she is all sorted out now. They are funny little creatures how they let things worry them sometimes.

    My daughter is similar:
"Leave me in peace Mummy. But sit on the floor in the hall please"
