    Is this normal?

I tired posting this in the Toilet Training section but have had no luck so thought I would try here, feel free to move it mods if it shouldn't be here

My little girl will turn 3 in May.

She was pretty much toilet trained about a month ago. Willing and telling me she wanted to use the toilet for both #'s. She was waking up with a dry nappy, and never wetting her undies during the day.

All of a sudden about 2 weeks ago, she has done a 360 turn for the worse. Constantely wetting herself, in her bed, floor. She still does #2's in the loo (apart from 2 occassions).

Is this normal? Is it normal for her to take 2 steps forward, 1 step back?

DH and I don't know what to do. I think being to harsh on her when she does do it, is the wrong thing to do. But DH thinks she should get roused on and put in time out. I don't agree. I wanting to take the more patient approach. What do you think? Have any of you been through this. What worked?

Any help and advice would be grand.

Some children will have a period of regression with their TT, even if they were going really well with it. Sometimes there can be a cause for it, like being unwell, or having someting happen in their lives - change of cc/preschool or starting cc/preschool etc. It just happen for no reason too. Try to be really positive with her even when she does have an accident because it's probably upsetting for her too.

She might have cystitis or a UTI so maybe get that checked out.

Thanks ladies, I'm glad I'm doing the right thing. Hoping it's just a phase then and she will out grow it again.
